This pipe bomb thing is disturbing, isn't it? Thanks for taking it seriously and condemning it. I appreciated your comments about it in your speech in Mosinee last night. Your statement, "those engaged in the political arena must stop treating political opponents as being morally defective" got my attention. I fear that you sometimes fall into that trap. Perhaps this will serve as a wake-up call to you and you will avoid name-calling. I hope so. I'm afraid it might have had a chilling effect on the stock market and we don't want those investors getting jittery.
When you were in Mosinee, did you hear about the upcoming Diwali celebration they will be having on Nov. 4 in Wausau? The local Hindu group is putting it on for the community and they'll be having Bollywood style dancing among other things. Isn't it great that the folks in Marathon County enjoy multicultural celebrations? We could all use a pick up at this time of year with reminders that Light overcomes darkness; good wins over evil and love trumps hate. I wish I could go, but I'll be hiking with my brother's family in Point Reyes.
I understand that today you are talking about your plans to bring down drug prices. I think it's a great idea to include the price of the medication in TV ads. Even if everyone pays a different price, knowing what the "listed price" is will help potential consumers know what kind of thing they are requesting when they ask their doctor for a prescription. I would prefer we eliminate drug ads altogether, but I think that genie is out of the bottle.
