My dear Friend and president, DJT,

I love all of the things that you ae saying in your speeches today as you participate in the D Day commemorations. Our young folk took part in an amazing effort 75 years ago, one that we should never forget and hopefully will never repeat.

I know you share my love for democracy so I encourage you to send some words of encouragement to the protestors in Sudan who are giving up their lives to promote freedom. Some acknowledgement from you that it's not right for unarmed people to be shot for speaking their minds would go a long way. I know you are busy but a quick tweet would do wonders.

I would also appreciate it if you would treat the kids known as "unaccompanied minors" as refugees rather than criminals. Your people have taken away the little joy they might have had in their days. That's heartless and I know you aren't heartless. Please look into it.

Give my regards to Ray Lambert and all of the other vets in Normandy today. I am in awe of their gift to the world and regret that they have had to endure a life of pain from their war wounds both inside and out.

I am off to teach my last class of the quarter which will include some thoughts on the need to "participate and educate to preserve our freedoms."

            Best,

            RCA
