My dear Friend and President, DJT,
Are you ready for the GWH Bush's funeral today? I understand that he'll be wearing some sox with planes flying in formation. Have you decided what sox you'll be wearing at your funeral? According to the NYT, presidents start planning their funerals shortly after they arrive in office. What lucky staff member gets that job?
I won't have a funeral. It'll be a memorial meeting when folks will sit in silence and share messages when led to do so. Memorial meetings are always quite moving as we learn the many impacts large and small we each have on one another. The last one I attended was for Grace Noda, the Japanese Internee that I wrote to you about in Feb 2017. At least 100 people were there telling stories about how she lived up to her name. You should have been there.
It's very sad that Jamal Khashoggi's family did not get the closure that a burial can bring. When people in mosques in Mecca, London, Paris, Tunis, DC and Istanbul gathered to mark his passing with a salat al gha’ibprayer on November 16, they stood in front of an empty space. Have you called his children to express your condolences? The stories that have emerged about his murder must be horrifying to them. I know they are to me. I understand that Gina Haspel convinced Senior Senators yesterday that MbS was behind it and now they are wondering what to do about it. I encourage you to put a stop to the arms deal. Clearly, MbS cannot be trusted so he doesn't need any more fire power.
I will hold you and all of the folks participating in today's funeral in the Light.
