My dear Friend and President, DJT,
How was your trip back from Minneapolis? I think it will take a while for people to recover from the confrontations between protesters and rally attenders leaving the Target Center. I'm sorry that you said mean things about the Mayor and you played "Purple Rain" even though Prince's family told you not to. Folks in MN believe in being nice - if you want their votes you'll have to change your approach.
Did you see that Sara Bareilles is coming to MN? I encourage you to watch her music video, Brave, in which random people start dancing in public places. I can't wait to show it to my students and start dancing. I am curious to see who will join me. Do you like to dance?
Have you called Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (AAA) to congratulate him on winning the Nobel Peace Prize? I think it's wonderful that he's brought a New Horizon of Hope to his wartorn country through his diplomacy with Eritrea. Apparently, a key to his success is that his dad, a polygamist with 4 wives, was a Muslim Oromo, and his mom was an Orthodox Christian Amhara. So, he represents reconciliation. He's working on bringing peace between his neighbors, Sudan and South Sudan. I hope he succeeds.
I know you'd like to win the Nobel someday. I guess you will have to do more than pull our troops out of Syria. Unfortunately, Northern Syria is in a state of turmoil right now as they try to get civilians out of harms' way before the bullets start to fly. There aren't any easy remedies to that situation. When you call AAA you might ask for some suggestions on what to do about that situation.
Have you heard that Jane Fonda is moving to DC to lead climate change protests? She's ready to be arrested every Friday and she hopes to inspire other grandmas to join her. I hope I have her energy when I'm 81.
