My dear Friend and President, DJT,
It's going to be a quiet day here in Village Homes. My husband hasn't been feeling well but I'm hoping he'll get out of bed today. I don't have any meetings so I am looking forward to getting some writing done and keeping him company.
I see that you have taken up writing letters. Did you get help writing yesterday's letter to NDP about canceling her trip? Lindsey Graham called the letters between the two of you, "sophomoric," but I think they're brilliant. Yours was short, to the point, with some dramatic flourishes to get everyone's attention. Like my letters, it had a cordial tone and included some sarcastic bits. Suggesting that flying commercial would be her prerogative gave me a smile. I question the wisdom of the trip and I question the wisdom of your canceling her transport, but the letters themselves are a creative addition to political discourse.
Speaking of canceled trips, it's too bad that the USA will not be represented in Davos. They say that Bolsonaro will be the main attraction. Folks are wondering what he'll have to say for 45 minutes at his keynote. Like you, he has trouble sticking to his script. Should be interesting.
I hope you aren't too distraught about the latest Buzzfeed story that you told Michael Cohen to lie to Congress. I've never heard of "suborning perjury" but there may be lots of evidence that you did. Greg Sargent, at the WP, suggested that this could be the "inflection point" for your presidency. We'll have to wait and see.
Peace be with you,
RCA
